Welcome to this memorial page in memory of Evelyn Griffith.  We understand that our family is very large and not everyone is able to attend the funeral service in person.

We appreciate all of the love and support showed to our family.  Our mother will be missed, but we’re thankful for the time we had with her and the lives she touched along the way.

The Life of Evelyn Griffith

Evelyn Laster Griffith was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late John Oliver and Zeller Mae Laster. She attended the local schools in Duval County. She also completed classes for cake decorations, pottery, and flower arrangements. She was very good at all of them. She loved to cook, bake, and work in her yard.

Ms. Evelyn was a member of the Master Touch Ministry, Pastor C Denise Phelps. She loved Sunday school and was a member of the Senior Choirs.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr & Mrs John O. Laster Sr, her late husband Willie Richard Griffith Sr, son Willie (Popa) Richard Griffith Jr, 4 brothers, two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons Eric (Marain) and Gerald (April) Griffith, eight daughters Jannell (Eugene) Fultz, Rachel O. Holmes, Beverly (Wallace) Tyson, Cherrilyn (Lonnie) Jones, Loretta (Mike) Wells Sr, Denise (Derrick) Cotton, Kathy (Herbert) Smith, Amanda (Roy) Terry, brother Andrew Laster, four sisters Iriszola Jones, Barbara Henderson, Joyce Campbell (Minor), Patricia Laster, sister-in-law Evelyn Laster, daughter-in-law Linda Griffith, and twenty three grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren
